James H. Rhodes Inducted Into Rutgers University Hall of Distinguished Alumni

Congratulations to James H. Rhodes, Vice President & Executive Director at PERMA Risk Management, an independent affiliate of Conner Strong & Buckelew, on his induction into the Rutgers University Hall of Distinguished Alumni. This prestigious honor recognizes alumni whose professional achievements, leadership, and service exemplify the values and impact of the Rutgers community.
A 1994 graduate of Rutgers–Camden with a degree in political science, Jim’s career spans public service, insurance, and nonprofit leadership. He previously served as Camden County Deputy Administrator and has dedicated decades to government and community organizations, including more than 20 years as Chair of the Camden County Board of Social Services.
At Rutgers, Jim’s commitment to service is equally distinguished. He has served on the Rutgers Board of Trustees and as inaugural Chair of the Rutgers University Alumni Association Board of Directors, where he led a transformative reorganization to unite alumni associations universitywide.
Jim’s journey reflects perseverance, purpose, and an unwavering dedication to making a positive impact—qualities that continue to define his leadership today.
